According to the General Directorate of Energy and Geology, last Monday, May 1, the retail price of LIVE 95 gasoline was set at 1.659 euros per liter, and for diesel fuel at 1.454 euros per liter.
With such a reduction, the cost of gasoline will rise to 1599 euros – from the level of 1.6 euros per liter, and diesel fuel – to 1404 euros per liter.
Gasoline will still be more expensive than diesel, with a difference of 19.5 cents between the two fuels.
The fuel price update comes in a week when oil, in both New York and London, traded sharply lower and on its way to a third negative weekly balance. And this at a time when concerns about the US economy and China’s recovery are growing, which is pushing investors away from this asset.
Average daily prices are determined by DGEG based on prices reported by gas stations, weighted by quantity sold in the last known period, taking into account discounts practiced at gas stations such as fleet cards and others.
