The executive president of the company has stated that “all” sales will be for electric vehicles “because that transition is going to take place.”
The Basque manufacturer of automotive components Gestamp is going to do “well” in 2023 and is considering a growth in its turnover of around 12-15%focused on electric vehicles, in a year in which it plans to make investments worth around 900 million euros.
The CEO of the company, Francisco J. Riberashas advanced some of the group’s forecasts in a meeting with journalists after the Shareholders’ Meeting that the company has held this Tuesday in Bilbao, in which it has transmitted a message of confidence and “moderate optimism” in relation to the situation of the company.
In the 2022 financial year, Gestamp achieved a net profit of 260 million euros, 67% more than the figure for the previous year. “times are hardbut we are trained for difficult times and we are going to come out well whatever comes,” said Riberas.
He has also stated that in the end “all” Gestamp’s sales will go to electric vehicles “because that transition is going to take place”.
