Real Madrid and Manchester United drew 1-1 in the Spanish capital in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final. A duel that could well have been the final one, but in which nothing was decided. As a result, everything remains open for the second game in Manchester in a week.
By a decision by Artur Soares Dias (in which both sides are involved), Real Madrid and City (with Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva in the starting XI) equalized after two great goals, both with atomic strikes from outside the penalty area. In the first half, when the English team seemed more dominant, Real Madrid reached 1-0 thanks to Vinicius Jr. in the 36th minute. After Camavinga’s pass, the Brazilian advanced with the ball and delivered a very powerful and well-aimed shot that rendered Ederson’s stretch useless.
In the second half, the roles were reversed. At a time when Real Madrid (the record holder for 14 league trophies) felt more comfortable, it was Manchester City who scored a goal thanks to Kevin de Bruyne’s guided missile (67 minutes). There will be more in Manchester next Wednesday.
