Antón Pradera, president of CIE Automotive, has warned about the “brutal dependence” on China for electric vehicle batteries, underlining that they are committing “clear mistakes” in the energy transition.
The president has reflected on the energy transition, assuring that “clear mistakes” have been made and are still being made today. In addition, he believes that there will be more solutions for the issue of the movement, since society will be forced to do so because “the use of oil is going to be a matter of a few years”.
As far as Europe is concerned, Pradera has indicated that Brussels “always arrives late and badly”. Also assuring that a “brutal dependence” on China is being created in relation to electric vehicle batteries. For this reason, Antón Pradera advocates a commitment from Europe in this activity.
