The Judicial Police (SP) detained a young man of 25 on suspicion of killing a 54-year-old man in Belém. The facts date back to May 1, when the killer hit the victim several times with cold weapons.
The motive for the crime has yet to be established. As far as the investigation was able to find out, both the killer and the victim were homeless, and the crime took place in an empty building where they stayed for the night.
“Personal conflict in connection with circumstances not yet specifically established, which ended in the practice of several serious attacks with stabbing in the body of the victim, resulting in his death,” the official said in a statement.
After killing the man, the young man left the place. He was also injured and had to be admitted to the San Francisco Xavier Hospital. At some point, he provided a false name so that the authorities would not find him.
After a few steps, the aggressor was located in the hospital block and the arrest began.
The man was drafted arguido and was in pre-trial detention.
