The crew of car 51, participating in the 56th edition of Rally Portugal, the fifth round of the World Championship, was taken to the hospital in São João after an accident with Amarante 2 forced the race to be cancelled.
Paraguayan driver Miguel Zaldivar (Hyundai i20) was taken by helicopter to the S. Joao hospital in Porto, while Argentine co-pilot José Diaz went to the same hospital in an ambulance, a rally security source confirmed. Luz agency.

The accident occurred at the 17.1th kilometer of the 37.24th, which was a special, longest race, and forced to interrupt the segment.
It took rescuers seven minutes to reach the crash site.
Two ambulances, an evacuation vehicle and a command vehicle arrived to help the participants.
