Workers of the cleaning services subcontracted by Osakidetza have been on strike since February 27. ELA has announced that it will make a new proposal to the companies and Osakidetza “to try to unblock the negotiation.”
The Union THE A has decided to extend until the next June 4th Cleanup Strike of Osakidetza. After recalling that this Wednesday the workers in this sector will be on strike for 80 days, he has detailed that he has challenged the extraordinary cleaning orders of the Department of Labor of the Basque Government, which has issued six extraordinary cleanings in Gipuzkoa.
In a statement, the plant has indicated that, after several meetings with the Department of Labor and “no progress” in the negotiation of the agreement, have decided to prolong the strike call.
In addition, ELA has announced that it will carry out a new proposal to companies and Osakidetza to try to unblock the negotiation.
The workers are on strike since February 27. They demand the renewal of the agreement (they have not had an agreement for five years) and demand homologation with the Osakidetza staff, so that they can have access to the different calls for professional careers, access to partial retirement linked to the relief contract and a more fair and objective coverage of vacancies.
