The Works Council, with representatives of ELA and CCOO, has fixed the strike for the next days 18, 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31 May.
The Azkoyen Works Council, with 11 representatives from ELA and 2 from CCOO, has unanimously decided call a strike for six days in May before the “blocking” of the negotiation by the company.
Around 270 workers work at Azkoyen in its two workplaces, peralta and slashfor which the company collective agreement is being negotiated since the beginning of the year.
In order to advance in the negotiation towards “an agreement that guarantees the purchasing power of the workforce”, the committee has unanimously called a six-day strike, set for the days May 18, 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31.
In a note, the ELA union highlights in this regard “the value of the mobilization in defense of working conditions and conventions that guarantee purchasing power”.
