Over the weekend, Oerlikon hosted a big meeting of movie, game and cosplay fans. We were allowed to enter the sacred halls and we were delighted. We will be back next year!
Zurich hosted the ZURICH POP CON & Game Show this weekend, bringing over 34,000 fans of games, movies and comics to the Oerlikon showroom. All seven halls were filled with visitors both days, and the exhibitors offered the participants everything their heart desires.
Game lovers could let off steam on various consoles, try out new games or play some good old games in the retro corner. In addition, publicly advertised tournaments took place on Saturday with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Sunday from platoon. Unfortunately, our participation on Saturday was not successful and not for long.
Panels with movie stars Dan Fogler and Alison Sudol, a dream couple, were especially well received (and crowded). Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets. Also released was Tom Vlachiha Weird things as well as game of Thrones talked about interesting events, played autographs and took selfies.
Other highlights were the countless cosplayers walking and dancing through the crowd and being able to compete in a big cosplay competition. Costumes designed with great attention to detail, original masks and famous movie characters were noticed, and all these performers deserved applause. Bravo!
ZURICH POP CON & Game Show will take place again next year. From September 30 to October 1, 2023, the doors of Oerlikon will be open again. So if you weren’t able to come this year, mark those dates in bold on your calendar. It’s worth it!
