The first trailer of the film “Asterix and Obelix: China” with Marion Cotillard and … Zlatan Ibrahimovic?

In their latest live adventure, two Gauls find themselves in China. Among other things, they meet a character called Antivirus, played by football star Ibrahimovic.

Update: German dubbed version

Original version with English subtitles

This is 50 BC. The Empress of China has just been imprisoned after a coup d’état. With the help of the merchant Finalthesis and her loyal bodyguard Mai Wei, the Empress’s only daughter, Princess Sass-Yi, flees to Gaul and asks for help from two brave warriors, Asterix and Obelix.

The two heroes agree to help the princess in order to save her mother and free her country. Thus begins the long journey to China. But Caesar and his mighty army, eager for new conquests, are also on their way to the Celestial Empire.

Asterix and Obelix – Celestial, in which Guillaume Canet and Gilles Lelouch play the lead characters for the first time, will be released in German-speaking Switzerland on March 2, 2023. Canet is also in charge of directing. Other notable names in the cast include Vincent Cassel as Caesar, Marion Cotillard as Cleopatra, and self-proclaimed soccer god Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Antivirus.
