In the competition section ZFF “Focus” attention is paid to films from Switzerland, Germany and Austria. But none of the films shown there really baffled them.
Interest at the Zurich Film Festival is most focused on the films of the gala section, where you can see Hollywood freaks and once sensational festival favorites. This is also reflected very well in our jury grid. While gala films that are screened out of competition have many ratings, the focus competition has not yet been given due attention.
Films in the focus competition have not yet caused much jubilation. Austrian drama has been best received so far Eismeyer. We are talking about a strict junior lieutenant and a homosexual recruit.
