Long shots, coincidences, movie references and countless other reasons why this is the best ongoing fantasy series so far are featured in the second pilot episode. We have checked them.
What is this about?
Ten years after The Green Wedding, Rainier (Emma D’Arcy) becomes a mother for the third time. However, the father is not her homosexual husband Laenor Velarion (John Macmillan), but Harvin Strong (Ryan Corr), the son of the King’s Hand (Gavin Spox). Daemon Targaryen is now also married to Velaryon, who has already given him several children. Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) also continues to escalate into a feud with Rainier.
How it was?
There are currently six episodes of Westeros.Bridgertonand the quality just doesn’t go down. It’s only getting better. The episode also proves once again, through planned episodes, cuts and cuts, that you can’t compete with the series. The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power must be satisfied. Fantasy can do more than look good, and Dragon House shows it with every episode. In fact, the look, especially the CGI, is the episode’s biggest criticism. The effects are noticeably bad How to Train Your Dragon– Innuendo. There is another nod to the masterpiece in the episode: Jurassic Park.
The Princess and the Queen, as the series is called in English, is clearly the second pilot episode. There is no doubt about this. Set ten years after the fifth episode, countless new actors are introduced, and this episode has more attention than Nolan’s film. So, episodes one through five were a prequel, and now the actual plot begins. Or so it seems. However, anyone who knows Fire and Blood should quickly realize that this kind of narration is necessary if you want to tell the entire Dance of the Dragons. In addition, the series manages not to seem rushed. Each character gets enough screen time, and even the camera points to a slow pace with an almost three-minute planned sequence, i.e. a scene without any cuts.
The title of the episode refers to the two main characters Rainier and Alycent, who are now played by new actresses but are still enemies. The two actresses now had to change the minds of those who weren’t thrilled with the young Reynira and the young Alycent. Also, Matt Smith continues to charm and portray Damon Targaryen so amazingly that you almost forget it was the same guy on the flop. Painful training his dancing skills…
Do you know that…
– … Elizabeth Olsen and Henry Cavill can join the cast in the second season? Rumor has it that the Superman actor will play the old version of Aegon Targaryen and the actor known as the Scarlet Witch will take on the role of the Red Priestess.
