What is this about?
The Harfits reach their destination but find no food. Therefore, the stranger wants to help, but in the process hurts Nori and her sister. The stranger then leaves the harfeet. The eruption of Mount Doom weakened not only the Harfeet, but also Galadriel, Arondir, Bronwyn, Theo, and the Numenoreans. Galadriel takes the wounded Halbrand to Lindon, as he needs Elven medicine. Regent Queen Miriel can no longer see due to the battle and returns to Numenor. In Khazad-Dum, Elrond and the King confront each other, unaware of the threat lurking in the depths.
How it was?
After the sixth episode, we can finally have high hopes for the series again. The penultimate episode of the first season gives enough reasons why those expectations were met and why we can also hope for a great season finale next week. Very exciting about this episode is the title of the episode “The Eye”, which leaves a lot of room for interpretation. When Tolkien fans hear “The Eye”, it’s probably clear to everyone what it might refer to. And yet you never see the eyes of Sauron. Or is it so?
After the heavy cliffhanger of the last episode, it’s now interesting to see what happened and how the characters coped. What’s also interesting is that it actually feels like ALL the main characters are being seen in one episode for the first time. And that’s what makes the show incredibly good. Because the pace is automatically much nicer than in previous episodes.
There’s probably not much else to say about the series’ visuals. The series still looks fantastic. The beginning with this reddish filter is especially mesmerizing. When a certain figure that you know from the films appears at the end, this is also very impressive. Can I have more, please!
