Oscar-winning Ben Affleck’s latest project (“Argo”) tells how Nike managed to sign basketball player Michael Jordan.
As we reported, Amazon is betting on its film project air full of cinemas. It would be easy to just offer a Ben Affleck movie on Prime Video’s own streaming platform. But Amazon also seems to see the future of its films in theaters, including Swiss cinemas.
We can now confirm that the Air will be released by Warner Bros. in German-speaking Switzerland on April 6, 2023. The film tells the true story of Sonny Vaccaro and how he managed to sign basketball legend Michael Jordan for sportswear manufacturer Nike, changing the business forever. Vaccaro is played by Matt Damon in the film, while his buddy Ben Affleck plays Nike CEO Phil Knight. Viola Davis, Chris Messina and Jason Bateman will also star. Incidentally, Michael Jordan was not cast with the actor; only original recordings of the sports icon can be seen in the film.
First trailer too air should be published next Sunday during the Super Bowl live stream – and then they will probably be immediately found on the Internet. Of course, you will also find the trailer here.
