The annual celebration of some of the brightest and best music in Britain and beyond is fast approaching.
The 2023 Brit Awards are just a few hours away, with the likes of Stormzy, Harry Styles, Wet Leg and Taylor Swift vying for the top prizes.
So far, this year’s event has been dominated by debate over the decision to drop gender categories after female artists were eliminated from the men’s shortlist competing for Artist of the Year.
The new flagship award has raised concerns that the move to gender-neutral categories could lead to the marginalization of women artists.
Despite this, the total number of shortlisted artists includes the same number of women (in groups and solos) as in 2022, which organizers said was the highest number in a decade.
But which artists will be shortlisted for the Brit Awards 2023 and how can you be there live? Here’s everything you need to know.
