The ending reveals the Stranger’s identity, reveals who Sauron is, and now finally lives up to the series title. You can read the general content of the series and the latest episode here.
What is this about?
Galadriel travels to Eregion with Halbrand, where she meets Elrond and Celebrimbor. The elves want to know how they can save Middle-earth without the help of the dwarves. Halbrand is forged and contributes significantly to solving the problem. But there are some secrets that are revealed. Meanwhile, Nori and a stranger encounter the mystics and a fight ensues with deadly consequences. The Mystics turn out to be Sauron’s followers and in the process reveal who or what this stranger is.
How it was?
It was the first season The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power. Everyone who didn’t quit despite a lot of shitty storms, a rather weak middle part, and an unsympathetic protagonist has now been rewarded once again with this eighth episode. Because in this episode, it becomes clear again: the series really can do more than just look outstanding.
But if you’re familiar with Middle-earth lore or have dealt with the theories about the series, you won’t get any truly surprising information in this latest episode. All the revelations in the episode were expected, and the plot can be understood from the title of the series. However, this episode paves the way for an exciting second season that will hopefully learn from the first season’s mistakes. The creators of the series noticed that not only unnecessary haters found Galadriel monotonous and sharply criticized this “style over content.”
Unfortunately, what is very disappointing about this last episode is the absence of many characters. Durin and his dwarf friends, Bronwyn, Theo, and even Arondir just didn’t have a season finale. What’s left are a few nice moments with the characters and the pace of the episode, which actually remains consistently high.
Summary of the series
Overall, the show isn’t even close. Lord of the rings, Brotherhood of the ringtrilogy, and likewise, it absolutely does not compete with the masterful spin-off Dragon House. The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power looks fantastic and there are also many great moments. Those who decided not to watch the series did not regret it either.
Do you know that…
…seventh series The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power and sixth series Andor have exactly the same name? Of course, “Eye” means different things in the two universes.
