The Guggenheim Museum can now be visited for free, prior reservation

Euskaraz irakurri: Guggenheim Museum doan bisita daiteke, aldez aurretik sarrera erreserbatuta

From today and throughout the month of November and December 1 and 2residents of Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa will be able to visit the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao totally free, within the acts of celebration of the 25 years of its inauguration. Tickets must be booked in advance on the museum’s website or by phone (945 551 380, Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 14:00).

This program of free access to the museum for six weeks has been called “Denontzako BBKartea Para todos” and, in order to enjoy it, it will be necessary to book in advance the time and day chosen for the visit.

With a maximum of four tickets per person, it must be proved that the applicants reside in a municipality of the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV). As the different time slots fill up, the possibility of choosing those dates and times will be deactivated on the web.

People who visit the museum will be able to enjoy the “Sections/Intersections” exhibition, which takes place along the three floors of the building with the different works that are part of the Museum’s own funds.

It so happens that this past weekend the museum held its annual open day to all its visitors, without exception, on the occasion of the anniversary of its opening to the public on October 19.
