The Choral Contest of Tolosa recovers the children’s contest

Euskaraz irakurri: Tolosako Abesbatza Lehiaketak haur abesbatzen lehiaketa berreskuratuko du

This Friday, October 28, and until November 1, choral sounds will be the protagonist in Tolosa: the 53rd edition of the Tolosa Choral Contest will be held.

After five years without doing so, this year the children’s contest will be recovered: six groups will participate in that category, and another eleven in the Chamber Choirs.

The deputy director of the contest, Xabier Ormazabal, has told Euskadi Irratia that there will be no Asian groups due to the pandemic, and the war will also have its reflection: there will be no Russian groups, but there will be representation of Ukrainian groups.

On Tuesday we will know who the winners are, and the prizes will be awarded in a concert that can be followed live on eitb.eus from 11:30 a.m. Later, at 7:00 p.m., the Americans Byu Singers will close the event.
