At 181 minutes, Avengers: Endgame is the longest film produced by Marvel Studios to date. However, the second Black Panther movie comes very close to that term.
After last year’s Marvel movies got longer and longer… Spiderman: No Way Home reached 148, Eternal to 158 minutes – MCU production this year was once again significantly closer to the 2-hour mark. So it went on Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness 126 Thor: Love and Thunder 119 minutes. But now the pendulum is swinging hard towards the 3 o’clock mark.
As Disney has confirmed to us, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to proud working hours 161 minutes means 2 hours 41 minutes. This makes Ryan Coogler’s mega-hit sequel the second longest-running film in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Avengers: Endgame longer – 181 minutes.
If you’ve seen the Wakanda Forever trailers (see below), you might expect the timing to be long. After all, Namor must be fought not only as a new adversary, but also as the titular hero’s successor, as Marvel decided to go beyond simply recasting the character after Chadwick Boseman’s death.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be shown in Swiss cinemas from November 9, 2022. Some theaters have already begun pre-sales of the Marvel blockbuster.
