The Basque actor Karra Elejalde has achieved the best actor award on the 67th Valladolid International Film Week (Seminci)ex aequo with his co-star Ivan Barnev in “Vasil”, by Valencian director Avelina Prat.

Elejalde dedicated the award to its director and stated that sharing the spike makes him “twice as excited”because both actors have been able to understand each other “he still doesn’t know how” and “now they are great friends” (Barnev does not speak Spanish).

Of the rest of the awards, the Chinese director Li Ruijun won the Golden Spike at the 67th Seminci this Saturday with “Return to Dust”a feature film that has had problems with censorship in China for showing the poverty and decline of rural areas, and also urban speculation.
