The Literaktum festival will look at the cinema

Euskaraz irakurri: Literaktumek literature eta zinema izango ditu ardatz

The San Sebastian Literaktum literature festival will hold its next edition from the 14th to the 17th of this month with its sights also set on cinema.

This edition will feature writers and writers, screenwriters and directors and film directors to talk about literature and cinema and the relationship between both disciplines.

Literaktum 2022 will feature the authors Eduardo Mendoza and Lorenzo Silva, Jesús Carrasco, Abdellah Taia, Gabriela Ybarra and Ángeles González-Sinde, writer and director of The dinerLook at Gorrotxategi (33 ezkil took to the movies in Hil kanpaiak) and Jon Arretxe.

Beyond literature and cinema, Héctor Abad Faciolince, Isaac Rosa, María Oruña, and Iban Zaldua will talk about their new works in the section Literaktum presents.

On the other hand, on the occasion that this 2022 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Pío Baroja and 100 of the birth of Juan San Martin, both will be honored.

Also on the programme, among others, are Pello Lizarralde, Katixa Agirre, Itxaro Borda, Miren Agur Meabe, and Lander Garro, Andoni Egaña and Eli Pagola, these three with a recital of bertsos based on Faith, Garro’s novel.
