“I’m too old for this shit” is a quote from another legendary action movie, but Harrison Ford may have said the phrase a couple of times in recent years. In recent years, the 80-year-old actor has been acting not only in new films. star Wars as well as blade runner in front of the camera, but also one last time for a new Indiana Jones adventure. The premiere is scheduled for 2023. This will be the last time we see Ford as an archaeologist. Of course, this does not mean that after this the character will disappear forever.

Disney is currently thinking about how to keep the series. One option that Variety says is on the table is a series that will, of course, only be available on Disney+. Disney has had good experience in the past with series based on well-known movie franchises. projects such as The Mandalorian or Loki ensured the further development of the Disney+ streaming service.

However, there would be nothing new in the Indiana Jones series. Two seasons and four television series were released in the early 1990s. The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles produced and broadcast. The series focused, as the title already suggests, on Indy’s early years, directed by Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints) and Corey Carrier.

First, however, the focus will be on the fifth feature film, directed by James Mangold. In addition to Ford, the film also stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook and John Rhys-Davies. Theatrical release in German-speaking Switzerland on June 29, 2023.
