Tim Allen – Santa Claus. The series “Santa Claus” has been a success since 1994. The series is now streaming and we caught up with the cast for a quick chat.
In 1994, we laughed at Tim Allen, who was in Santa Claus the first time Scott Calvin became Santa Claus. Over the years, this adventure has become a trilogy, Santa Claus 2 as well as Santa Claus 3: Escape Clause was continued. Now Tim Allen, Elizabeth Mitchell and their colleagues are celebrating their comeback with a streaming series. Santas. We were able to chat a little with the actors, director and screenwriters.
Here is the first part with a young team of Elizabeth Allen-Dick (Tim Allen’s daughter plays Sandra), Matilda Lawler (Betty), Devin Bright (Noel), Austin Kane (Buddy) and Rupail Redd (Grace).
Out now: What did you know about the series and what was your first contact with it?
Austin Kane: I grew up with it, we traditionally watched these movies at home at Christmas. So now it’s doubly nice to be a part of it.
Elizabeth Allen Dick: For me, these films are also part of the holiday tradition. It’s unbelievable that I can be there myself right now.
Matilda Lawler: I was introduced to movies a few years ago when Disney+ came out. But I love Christmas movies and I was so happy to be able to play them.
Devin Bright: i did a few years ago Santa Claus I watched it and have been a fan ever since. So many people like these movies, it’s great.
Rupai Redd: I’ve just been introduced to the movies, and since this is my first TV show, I was especially looking forward to Tim Allen.
Out now: Elizabeth, your father was Santa for over 30 years. Will you take over this part now?
Elizabeth Allen Dick: It was so special, the film inspired so many people. It’s fantastic that my father made so many people happy with this role. That’s why I’m honored to be a part of this and I hope my character gets even more opportunities to shine. The footage was great.

Out now: When you read the script, what specifically hooked you?
Elizabeth Allen Dick: I really liked the script and my audition was an emotional scene. I also like my character, he is very similar to me.
Matilda Lawler: It was so exciting, I love my character and the whole franchise. I think the series is a great continuation of the plots of the films.
Devin Bright: The script is great and I always got to know more about my character. It interested me a lot.
Austin Kane: I really liked the traditional script and the then modern approach. You can relate to history and I think people will love it.
Rupai Redd: It was a lot of fun and I was glad to meet all the interesting people. I also met the real Santa Claus.

Out now: What was the atmosphere like on set? Joke or some kind of pressure?
Elizabeth Allen Dick: It never seemed to work. No stress, no rush, but lots of laughter and happiness. We danced a lot and crap in between.
Matilda Lawler: Exactly, it was nice to come to work every day. We had on the screen lots of fun though off screen even more.
Rupai Redd: I never felt pressure. We did a lot of stupid things and fooled around.
Devin Bright: We played a lot and had a great time. This did not complicate the transition to the characters.
Austin Kane: There was chemistry on set, Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell telling stories, and I was running around the set with a plastic pipe. It was so strange.
Outnow: What was the most emotional moment for you?
Elizabeth Allen Dick: End of shooting. I cried so much that makeup artists and hairdressers continued to feel me. Nobody wanted to leave the filming.
Matilda Lawler: That crying probably applies to everyone. The last day of filming was brutally sad.
Austin Kane: Tim Allen gave a wonderful farewell speech that ended the whole tragedy.
Santas Launches November 16, 2022 exclusively on Disney+.
