Thriller missing raises the question of how well you know the people closest to you. When her mother (Nia Long) disappears with her new boyfriend while on holiday in Colombia, June’s (Storm Reid) search for answers is hindered by international bureaucracy. In Los Angeles, thousands of miles away, June creatively uses the latest technology to find her before it’s too late. But as she digs deeper, she finds more questions than answers, and when June reveals her mother’s secrets, she realizes she didn’t really know her very well.
missing comes from the creators search in progress, which raised a whopping $75 million worldwide four years ago. As with search in progress will also missing is told almost entirely on the screens. As with her predecessor, Anish Chaganti wrote the screenplay for the new film.
missing will be released in theaters in German-speaking Switzerland on February 23, 2023.
