A new erectile dysfunction drug is launched in the UK that works within 10 minutes.
It’s a gel called Eroxon and it’s clinically proven to work for people with mild to severe erectile dysfunction.
What is Erokson and how does it work?
Eroxon is manufactured by Futura Medical, a pharmaceutical company based in the UK.
Eroxon is applied to the head of the penis, where the gel evaporates, this evaporation stimulates the vascular and nerve endings by rapidly cooling and heating the area. This causes the release of nitric oxide, which relaxes the blood vessels, increasing blood flow to the penis and causing an erection.
The release of nitric oxide is also how other erectile dysfunction (ED) treatments such as Viagra work, but they have the disadvantage of relaxing blood vessels throughout the body since they are taken orally rather than applied directly. This can lead to side effects such as nausea, dizziness and headaches.
These side effects mean that people with pre-existing medical conditions, such as heart and liver disease, cannot take oral ED pills. They are also not safe for people who have recently had a stroke and should not be taken with some prescription drugs.
Dr Hilary Jones, regular health expert on ITV, shared Mirror: “The word ‘breakthrough’ is often used in health news headlines, but new treatments that are truly breakthrough are much rarer. Eroxon is an innovative therapy that could change the lives of millions of men with erectile dysfunction.”
Dr Katherine Hood, a sexual health specialist, added: “PDE5i drugs were a game changer when they were introduced in the 1990s, but they are not suitable for many men due to pre-existing medical conditions. , interactions with prescription drugs, or simply because they take time to work.”
In a 12-week clinical study of 250 men, two out of three reported a significant improvement in their ability to achieve and maintain an erection. In people with severe erectile dysfunction, this number has risen to 80 percent.

The gel is available without a prescription. Eroxon costs £24.99 for a pack of four disposable tubes and is available at Boots stores and online.
