This Wednesday, PS and PCP denied PSD’s request for a certificate of statements made by the Minister of Infrastructure to the TAP Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) to send them to the Attorney General’s Office for prosecution.
PSD’s request was intended to initiate a “criminal investigation” to determine whether João Galamba lied to CPI. For PSD MP Paulo Moniz, the minister’s statements represent a “gross inconsistency” compared to those of other respondents, such as Prime Minister’s Deputy Secretary of State, António Mendonça Mendez. Galamba said this Wednesday that anyone who sees Mendonza Mendez’s audition will understand that it was not a lie.
PS MP Bruno Aragao stated that “there is no evidence of a crime”, justifying the party’s position. Only the PCP voted with the PS.
Chega’s three requests were also not granted, one of them was to hear Galamba again at the CPI.
