Robert De Niro’s grandson dies at 19

Actor Robert de Niro’s grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, has died at the age of 19, his mother Drena de Niro announced the news on a social media site on Monday. Instagram.

“My sweet, beautiful angel. I loved you beyond words and descriptions, from the moment I felt you in my womb (…) I would like to be with you right now. (…) You were so deeply loved and appreciated, and I wish that only love could save you,” said Drena de Niro.

Leandro, the son of De Niro’s adopted daughter and artist Carlos Rodriguez, was an aspiring actor who landed roles in 2018’s A Star Is Born and 2005’s Cabaret Maxime and 2005’s The Collection.

The cause of death is not yet known.
