Family doctors and National Health Service (SNS) pharmacists are starting a new strike on Monday, demanding the Department of Health move forward in talks on career advancement and pay scales.
Incited by the National Union of Pharmacists (SNF), these medical workers’ protest begins this Monday with a nationwide strike and includes two district-wide stops on September 5 and 12, culminating in another nationwide strike scheduled for the 19th of the same month.
The union, which regrets that the health ministry is “silent and shows no intention of starting a serious negotiation process,” called for a gathering of pharmacists by 10:30 today outside the São Bento Palace, the prime minister’s official residence.
