More than 100 operatives are fighting a fire that broke out this afternoon in a bush area in Pinjal do Norte, municipality of Carraceda de Anciaes, which resulted in the evacuation of two people from the village as a precaution.
According to the civil protection page, the fire warning for this municipality in the Bragança region was issued at 15:03.
A source in the command of the operation explained to Lusa that the flames blaze with force.
In the line of fire was the village of Felgueira in the parish of Pinhal do Norte, from where the operatives took the only two residents.
The fire is currently heading towards the parish of Pereiros, but still without the need for preventive measures.
According to the same source, the biggest problem currently is wind and difficult access.
At 18:04, 105 operators, 29 vehicles and three aircraft were mobilized to the theater of operations, according to the website of the Office for Emergency Situations and Civil Protection.
A source in the command of the operation said that ground and air assets will be strengthened.
