Nuno Santos’ “lyrical” throw is recognized as the “goal of the year”

The ‘lyrical’ goal of Sporting CP striker Nuno Santos scored this Thursday was voted ‘Goal of the Year’ in the latest edition of the Portuguese Football League. He scored against Boavista in the 24th round.

At the first gala concert of the Liga Portugal Awards, which took place this Thursday in Alfandega do Porto, Nuno Santos was the winner in the category voted on by the coaches and “captains” of the first league clubs.

“I would like to thank those who voted for me, my family, my friends, all the Sporting staff and all the fans. This is a moment that I usually do both in games and in training. [o remate de ‘letra’]. People say I don’t use my right foot, and it’s true. It was “literally” and I hope to continue scoring more of these goals,” said the 28-year-old in his awards speech.
