A sixth suspect in the murder and desecration of a corpse in Figueira da Foz was arrested by the judicial police. The case began in August 2022 when a father and five children lured 42-year-old Marco Costa to the area where they lived, killing him because they suspected he had stolen drugs and five firearms from them.
The accused attacked Marco Costa and, when he was already dead, tied him to a 23-kilogram block and threw his body into a watercourse to hide the crime.
The father and his four children were already arrested in October last year and are awaiting trial in a pre-trial detention center.
The suspect, 40 years old, with a criminal record, will be present at the first judicial interrogation for the purpose of applying coercive measures.
