Drivers of more than 30 trucks and 40 cars were not shocked this Friday morning on the A3 motorway as they passed the Ponte Nova International Bridge in Valence. Due to the accidental release of iron sheets falling from a truck, about 70 vehicles had flat tires.
According to the city council of Walesa, the situation occurred on the Spain-Portugal direction, and the debris was scattered up to 111.1 kilometers of this highway. Traffic is limited to one lane. The GNR, the Spanish Civil Guard, the Civil Defence, the firefighters of Valence and employees of the Portuguese Infrastructures are on site.
The municipality urges “discretion and caution when traveling through this area” and thanks motorists for their understanding.
