Chega’s deputy in the Braga Municipal Assembly, Sergio Junior, was released from the Braga court this Wednesday after being detained on Tuesday as part of an investigation into trafficking in prohibited substances and methods.
Sergio Junior spent about an hour in court before being heard by a criminal judge who released him.
“Everything will become clearer with time,” Sergio Junior told reporters.
Sergio Junior was arrested on Tuesday by the Braga Police Department as part of an investigation into illegal trafficking of prohibited substances and methods.
The PSP executed a house search warrant and a search of non-residential premises in the city of Braga, resulting in the arrest of this municipal deputy.
During the operation, police also seized a pistol, a retractable baton, brass knuckles, an electric pistol and 38,105 euros.
“Several tablets and ampoules for injection of anabolic androgenic steroid substances (doping substances) were also seized, as well as various materials used in the administration of this type of substance,” the PSP said in a statement.
