The President of the Republic will receive the eight parties with seats in Parliament between November 6 and 8, in order to also hear from them about the state budget for 2024, which will be discussed in the specialty at this time.
According to a message published this Friday on the official website of the President of the Republic on the Internet, these hearings are taking place “as part of regular periodic meetings and after the presentation of the bill on the State Budget for 2024.”
The parties will host Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa in order of increasing representation in parliament, with a one-day break in between.
On November 6, the hearing, scheduled from 11:00 to 17:30, will include Livre, PAN, Bloco de Esquerda, PCP, Initiative Liberal and Chega.
On November 8, the head of state will receive the SDP at 16.00 and the PS at 17.30.
In mid-July, the President of the Republic heard from parties with seats in parliament about the economic, social and political situation in the country and summed up the results of the previous legislative session.
The 2024 state budget proposal, which guarantees approval by the PS’s parliamentary majority, will be discussed and voted on as a whole on October 30 and 31.
The final global vote is scheduled for November 29.
