Portuguese singer Sara Tavares, diagnosed with a brain tumor, died late this Sunday at the age of 45 in Lisbon, a family source told Lusa.
The news of the death of the artist, a native of Cape Verde, was reported by SIC television, stating that she was hospitalized at the Hospital da Luz in Lisbon.

Sara Tavares, born in Lisbon in 1978, became famous as a teenager in the 1990s on the television talent competition “Chuva de Estrelas” on SIC, singing a Whitney Houston song.
