A private team hired by the family of a missing pregnant woman in Mourtos to drain water from the well where Monica Silva’s body is believed to be located will begin work this Friday. A hedge trimmer is currently removing vegetation from the well.
Filomena Silva, the pregnant woman’s aunt, was there this Thursday morning, fencing off the area near the well to prevent residents from disturbing the work. The drainage of the water was scheduled for last Tuesday, but it could not be done because the family had not yet obtained permission from the landowner.
Over the weekend, members of the Murtosa Fire Department, GNR and PJ were at the site, located near Monica’s home and the house where her ex-boyfriend Fernando Valente lived, conducting searches, but they were unable to completely drain the well as a new layer of water appeared. Operators worked all night using artificial lighting.
During the searches, items of women’s clothing were found, but it was not proven that they belonged to Monica Silva.
Judicial police have announced they will resume the search for a pregnant woman in Ria de Aveiro after discovering a suspicious location on the shore. For what CM As it turned out, metal was found that could be Monica Silva’s dentures.
The marked location is in San Jacinto, less than two kilometers from the home of Torreira Fernando Valente, the main suspect in the woman’s disappearance.
