From Thursday, Carris will launch a new route on the morning network 203 from 00:00 to 5:30, connecting Restelo and Habregas in Lisbon, the carrier announced on Wednesday.
The company said in a statement that “Route 203 will operate daily” from 12:00 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. “with a 30-minute break, and its schedule will be published in regular media, with stops and additional information.” on the company’s digital platforms.
“This career complements the morning network service, covering a large part of the city and areas with high potential demand,” said Pedro de Brito Bogas, president of the board of directors of Carris, quoted in the note.
The official added that “early morning service is also being analyzed as part of the network reform study, but Carris believes the priority now will be to promote this addition into the evening hours.”
The carrier said that three new stops have been created for this route, two of which, one in each direction, at Estrada Pedro Teixeira and the terminal at Rua Bispo de Cochim.
“The remaining stops also serve other routes on the Carris network that already exist on the general route,” he added.
The company said all transport tickets valid on the Carris network, with the exception of a special ticket that can only be used on “adjacent routes”, can be used on the new 203 route.
Route 203 starts from Restelo, from Rua Tristan Vaz, and passes through Antan Gonçalves and Carlos Calisto streets, passing through Pedro Teixeira and Queluz roads, Avenida da Universidade Technical, Largo and Calada da Ajuda, Largos do Calvario and Fontañas, 24 de Julio and Infante Santo Avenues, Maria Pia and Campolide streets, Duque D’Avila and Miguel Bombarda avenues (towards Restelo), Praça do Chile, Parada do Alto de São João, Habregas and Bispo de Cojim, where it operates a terminal.
