The President unveiled a diploma creating a unit for assessing tax benefits

This Monday, the President of the Republic promulgated a government decree creating a Technical Tax and Customs Assessment Unit (U-Tax), which will evaluate tax policies, namely tax incentives.

The announcement of the promulgation of this decree-law, approved by the Council of Ministers on December 7 (the last one before entering into the administration), was made through a note published on the official website of the President of the Republic.

In this note, the President states that he has decided to make the diploma public, although the new Technical Department of Tax and Customs Expertise, although justified as a measure to simplify the tax system, has competencies that can be considered close or redirected to some of them at present time assigned to the Center for Financial Research.
