According to the regulation published in Diário da República, the family allowance for children and adolescents with parents included in the first income group is increased to 161.03 euros for children under three years of age and 50 euros for children and adolescents. over three years old.
For the second income group, 132.92 euros (children under three years old) and 50 euros (over three years old) were provided; at the third level, the values are 104.57 euros (up to three years), 34.86 euros (children from three to six years old) and 30.09 euros (children and adolescents over six years old); for the fourth level, 62.75 euros (up to three years) and 20.91 euros (children and adolescents from three to six years) were allocated.
With regard to families with many children, the regulation establishes for children under the age of three who are part of a household with two children, receiving an allowance in the amount of 40.25 euros (first group of income), 33.24 euros (second group), 30.09 euros (third group). and 15.69 euros (fourth level).
In families with more than two eligible children, the values set for a child under the age of three increase to EUR 80.51 (first income group), EUR 66.47 (second group), EUR 60.18 (third group) and 31.38 euros (fourth level).
Regarding the increase in family allowances for children and adolescents and prenatal family allowances for families with a single parent, the Government applies an additional 50% of the allowance established for Tier 1 households in a single parent situation, and another 42.5% for the allowance. determined for households in the remaining three income categories (plus any disability premiums that may exist).
For the antenatal family allowance in single parent families, an increase of 35% was attributed to the values of this support in four income groups.
The resolution also establishes new amounts for disability benefits and dependents. Thus, the monthly disability allowance increases to 67.71 euros for children and young people under 14, 98.63 euros for young people from 14 to 18 years old and 132.01 euros for holders from 18 to 24 years old.
On this issue, the Government establishes, under the Childhood Action Plan, a payment for children and adolescents under the age of 18 at risk of extreme poverty in the amount of “€1,200 per year (€100 per month). “, in addition to at least 600 euros per year (50 euros per month) for children in the first two brackets of the family allowance.
The third party assistance subsidy is now 117.73 euros, while the funeral subsidy has been increased to 236.37 euros.
The decree is retroactive from January 1 and signed by Minister of Finance Fernando Medina and Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security Ana Méndez Godinho.
