Chega argues that “in cases of corruption, assets should be seized before final charges are brought.”

Chega presented his election program this Thursday. Party leader Andre Ventura said the “country needs to be cleaned up,” “justice reform” and “support for youth and families.”

The party also claims that “in cases of corruption, assets are subject to confiscation even before final charges are made.” “In the context of criminal and consequential proceedings, it is necessary to ensure that there are 20% fewer cases of corruption. Ensuring that justice has the means to investigate, even if those being investigated are politicians,” assured Andre Ventura.

Regarding the security forces, Andre Ventura said that “firefighters, civil defense and prison guards” cannot continue to be “treated as secondary forces.”

Regarding immigration, the Chegi leader said it should be controlled and reasonable. “Portugal must prioritize and predominate the type of migration it needs for its economy and survival, ensuring that no person whose life is at risk and deprived of basic rights is left on Portugal’s doorstep.”

Regarding health, Andre Ventura stated that “the SNA does not respond to the demands and needs of the country,” making it necessary to “reformulate the model, linking it to the private, public and social spheres.”
