Seven people died in road accidents over the weekend

According to preliminary traffic accident data published on the Republican National Guard (GNR) website, seven people were killed and nine seriously injured in road accidents on Saturday and Sunday.

From 00:00 Saturday to midnight Sunday, GNR recorded 288 accidents in its area of ​​operation, resulting in seven deaths, nine serious injuries and 109 minor injuries.

On Saturday, 146 road accidents were recorded, with three deaths (in the districts of Leiria, Coimbra and Beja), four serious injuries and 52 minor injuries.

According to the GNR, there were 142 road accidents on Sunday, resulting in four deaths (in the districts of Porto, Santarem and Leiria), five serious injuries and 57 minor injuries.

According to the GNR, from Monday to Friday, 911 accidents were recorded, resulting in one death (on Tuesday in the Braga area).
