Trader on Interpol list hides traces with cash

Rubens Denis was wanted by Interpol for seven months after he fled Canada. Appointed as the right-hand man to the leader of one of the main gangs in Quebec, he managed to hide so far, thanks to the fact that he tried not to leave any traces anywhere.

He paid only in cash and used a burner mobile phone. In fact, he managed to enter the Schengen zone undetected. There is no record of the moment or place where it entered Europe and has so far circulated undetected.

But reliable information led judicial police to a small hotel in Torres Vedras, where he was detained on Thursday. There he also used a false name and paid in cash.

When he was caught, he had amassed about a thousand euros in banknotes. He also had a real passport, without a stamp. He was detained for extradition.
