An armed man who abducted a group of about 20 people from a restaurant in Odivelash on Sunday walked free on Tuesday after being presented before a criminal investigation judge at the Loures Court.
The alarm was raised shortly after 22:00 on Sunday at the DJUUN restaurant located on Avenida General Rosadas. A man with a holster on his waist and a loaded pistol indiscriminately terrorized customers and employees.
Agents from the Prevention and Immediate Response Team (EPRI) had to use force and managed to restrain and handcuff the man. ABOUT CM discovered that he had a clear mental disorder.
He had with him a pistol with 6.35 mm cartridges in the chamber, ready to fire, a full magazine of 10 rounds and another 8 rounds.
The suspect will be arraigned summarily at the Loures court on March 19.
