Diogo, 27, was shot dead on Rua Doutor Pedro Souza in the Ramalde district of Porto this Friday. The man was released from prison about two months ago for drug trafficking offenses and was allegedly killed while settling scores.
According to CMAs he walked along the sidewalk, Diogo was surprised by a hooded man hiding behind a wall, in the vegetation, with a pistol. He was shot five times: three in the head and two in the chest. The victim was accompanied by a friend who was not injured.
Everything indicates that the killer was assisted by an accomplice.
The area where the crime took place is quite busy, so several members of the public were able to see the shooter running away with a gun in his hand. TO CMWitnesses reported that there was panic at the scene.
Despite the efforts of rescuers, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The body will be taken to the Porto Institute of Legal Medicine for an autopsy.
The alarm came in around 12:40 p.m.
