Eder, 36, was co-opted into the executive under Fernando Gomes, whose departure from Pedro Dias as state secretary for sports led to the promotion of Julio Vieira, the former president of the Leiria association, to permanent member. .
In a statement, the FPF announced these changes following the resignation of Pedro Dias, who took the oath of office in the government of Luis Montenegro on Friday.
“With this resignation, first deputy Julio Vieira will become an effective member of the board,” the organization clarifies, adding that “their responsibilities, in addition to the functions they already perform, are the monitoring and development of futsal, in close collaboration with the technical director and the national selector Jorge Braza.”
Eder, who has not played again since his experience at Al-Raed in Saudi Arabia in 2021/22, joins the FPF management team after a career in which he also wore the shirts of Turisense, Académica, Sporting de Braga, Swansea. , Lille and Lokomotiv Moscow.
