A man, 24, and a woman, 22, who had recently started dating, died when the motorcycle they were riding on, accompanied by three other friends, crashed on Friday evening on the Lisbon outskirts of Cascais, in Dafundo, Oeiras. The 23-year-old man who was driving the car that collided with the motorcycle and caused the accident was left in a state of shock. The accident occurred at 23:15 near the Vasco da Gama aquarium. A few minutes ago, the couple, along with three other friends, went on a motorcycle trip. The Mercedes driver’s change of direction may have caused the couple’s motorcycle to hit the rear end. The loss was brutal. The PSP, a team of five vehicles and 18 Dafundo Corporation firefighters were mobilized. Two young people died immediately. Autopsies on the bodies will be carried out at the forensic bureau of the Guia cemetery in Cascais. The driver who made the contact that led to the motorcycle accident received psychological support from INEM.
