PCP wants “fiscal fairness” and will push its own initiative on IRS issues.

Paula Santos, PCP deputy, reacted this Friday to the approval of the IRS rate changes by the government of Luis Montenegro, saying that the party “will move forward on its own initiative on IRS issues.”

He adds that the party’s proposal aims to provide tax breaks for everyone, but above all it “hits the lowest and intermediate incomes”.

“The PKP will seek tax fairness. It will analyze the document presented by the government to the Assembly of the Republic, but from now on it has become clear that this proposal is unfair because it affects revenue growth,” he says.

The PKP MP also accused the government of demonstrating a “clear intention to avoid the issue of salary increases”, believing that the announced measures do not guarantee greater financial fairness.
