The driver, about 45 years old, received minor injuries this Wednesday morning when the truck he was traveling in crashed in Agueda.
At around 5:00 am, Sever de Vouga firefighters were alerted to a traffic accident on the A25 motorway towards Viseu/Aveiro, in the Masinhata do Vouga area. Under circumstances that have not yet been established, the heavy vehicle overturned on one of its sides.
The victim was taken by firefighters from Sever do Vouga to a hospital in Aveiro. The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate has been called to investigate the cause of the incident.
Work to remove the goods is currently ongoing. Only then will the crane return the overturned truck to its natural position.
Transport moves only on the side of the road, in the direction of the highway. GNR is on site and operates the highway concessionaire.
