Court orders Santa Maria Hospital to provide online consultations for Portuguese-Brazilian twins

The Portuguese-Brazilian twins will undergo an online consultation at the Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon this Monday afternoon, by order of the Lisbon Administrative Court.

The hospital refused to conduct a consultation without the presence of children, citing the fact that it had to be carried out in person. However, the parents of the twins took precautions, stating that the girls could not attend due to the lack of security while traveling and staying in Portugal following the “public exposure” and “hate campaign”. Judge Sofia Marieiro decided on May 11 that the consultation should be held online.

The parents also added that on May 2, twins Maite and Lorena suffered a “deterioration in their health,” which made the trip impossible.
