CP Workers Start New Strikes Today Due to Stalemate in Wage Negotiations

CP warned on Friday of “serious disruptions” to train traffic between 00:00 Feb. 27 and 23:59 March 2 due to the strike, with minimum services set on two of those days.

The CP – Comboio de Portugal communiqué is based on the strike announced by SINFA, ASCEF, ASSIFECO, FENTCOP, SINFB, SIOFA, STF, STMEFE, SINAFE on 27 February and 1 March and SNTSF on 28 February and 2 March.

In a statement, they said CP workers would go on strike to do “any work under the following conditions” on February 27 and March 1 “for the duration of the working period.”
